Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat

Your private northern Morocco tour from Casablanca will start early in the morning with a pick up from your hotel/riad with our speaking English driver/guide. Casablanca is the best representation of the modern nation. This is where money is being made, where young Moroccans come to seek their fortunes and where business and the creative industries prosper. The city’s Moorish buildings, which meld French-colonial design and traditional Moroccan style, are best admired in the downtown area. After breakfast at your accommodation we will drive you to Rabat and explore the capital of Morocco. Here you’ll see the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, which is topped by a cupola and comprises, to the right ,a museum with a gallery above it. They enclose a mosque whose minaret is the Hassan Tower itself, each of its four sides has a different decoration and its truncated height makes it look even bigger than it is. The tower of this incomplete mosque was begun in 1195. Overnight in Rabat.

DAY 2 : Rabat - Asilah - Tangier

After breakfast in Rabat, follow the highway to Tangier. Upon arrival and after lunch in Asilah, you will be joined by your local guide and then start your city tour. The tour will start with a city overview. We visit the Grand Succo, a popular nighttime square close to the Mosque of Sidi Bou Abib and the link between Ville Nouvelle and the medina. Visit the medina, with its cafes and bazaars, a Spanish church, jewellers shops, and an arts center displaying works showcasing Tangier’s social history. Walk the Petit Succo which was once the heart of the medina. Move on to visit the Grand Mosque, with its spectacular white and green tiled minaret built , in 1685 on the site of a Portuguese cathedral. Overnight in Tangier.

Day 3 : Tangier - Chefchaouen

In the morning we drive to the nearest city, Chefchaouen, situated in the Rif Mountains. The views of the valley and villages are panoramic and breathtaking. Chefchaouen is famous for its bright blue washed buildings and magnificent doors. Ensconsed in the breathtaking Rif Mountains it is spectacularly photogenic. As you stroll through the narrow cobbled streets and azure walls of the medina, you will notice most men wearing Djellabas made of wool and many women wearing colourful straw hats. Lunch in a local restaurant with time to shop for local handicrafts in the main square of the medina, especially woollen garments and woven blankets. Accommodation overnight in an authentic Moroccan riad, includes bed and breakfast. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 4 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Moulay Idriss Zerhoun - Fes

This morning after breakfast, we will travel to the nearby city of Meknes, the third Imperial city of Morocco. Meknes is known as The Versailles of Morocco, for its elaborately decorated gateways. We will visit the Bab El Khamis and Bab El Mansour, two of the most beautiful gateways, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later on, we will head to the village of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. We will stop here for lunch. Afterward we will explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city dates from the third century BC and is amazingly well preserved, including several mosaics. After this visit, we will continue our drive toward Fes where you will stay overnight in an authentic Moroccan riad.

Day 5 : Fes Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour in Fes, which is the oldest of Morocco’s four “Imperial Cities”. The medieval city of Fes El Bali or “Old Fes” remains complete and is unspoiled. Watch experienced artists at work, hone your bargaining skills, or take a break from the hustle to sip tea or eat a tagine infused with the fresh aroma of Morocco. Alternatively, you might go to the well-known Koutoubia Mosque and its 12th-century minaret, which was the famed prototype for Seville's Giralda tower.
